Makes sense. They are now seeing that the kids that never got CP are getting Shingles as teens and young adults. The immunity is wearing off, that's what happens with vaxing. So, to keep immunity up, boosters are a must. Generally speaking.

This is key point #1 that I'm not think DS will get this vax. Though, the best thing is to get the vax AND CP. Then they get lifetime immunity and get a light case of CP, not a bad one.

We don't vaccinate, we kept our sons intact, we use cloth diapers, we co-sleep, we extended RF, we breastfeed, but we watch too much tv and I totally dig plastic! Everyone has their issues, lol.

Yup, I have heard they have to get the booster. My old Dr's nurse said DS MAY need one when he gets older when I asked if he had been vaxed for it.

Yup, more and more places are now requiring a booster. They used to say the vax lasted 10 years, but it doesn't. This is 1 vax I think they really screwed up on.

so they are saying you need the shot twice or once?

I originally had no intentions of either of my DC getting this vax but my neighbor went through hecktrying to get her son into school without it. Even though she filled out the waiver for the vax they still refused to let him into school until he had it.

Might just depend on what waivers your state will take. Some take all three, others only take 1 or 2. You'd just have to look it up. But as long as you fill out the correct waiver, there's no way they can keep your child out of school. It would be illegal. Unless he went to private (non-giv funded) or something... then I think they may have that right.

I heard they have one but no one has said anything to me about it.. I know my kids will not be getting it. I think the CP vaccine is a bunch of BS.. My son still got the CP and he was vax'ed as a toddler.
