Do I need to do anything to it before using it?

I didn't do anything to mine before I used it. I LOVE my aristocrat, it is awesome!!

Mine did not work well until it had been lanolized a few times (at least). If it leaks for you, keep lanolizing. Once it is well-prepped, it will NEVER leak unless it is time to reprep it.
