Bumkins covers, getting the stink out

hello, i have a couple of large bumkins covers that are REALLY stinky. my DS only wears them at night and rarely ever poops in them, maybe once every month or so? when he pooped the other morning before he got up, i rinsed it off and then threw it in the wash and it has wreaked ever since. ive tried soaking it in vinegar water but no luck, what else can i try to get the harsh stink out? it smells sooooooo bad! i guess i could stick it outside, but there isnt much sun lately

anyone with ideas? baking soda maybe?

They really shouldn't be stinking to begin with. How often do you do laundry? Are you wet pailing? I'll do my best to help if I can.

well, i used to soak them in a bucket before i did the laundry..... found out that was a mistake. but in the summer i sat them in the sun and i finally got the stink out. this time, its every time he poops the stink stays in it. they go immediately into the laundry. he doesnt do a poopy accident but once a month or so. and he only wears them at night. i just dont know what to do about it i know better now than to soak them. i just figured before that soaking them in a bucket of soapy water before washing them would help get the poop out of the creases. do you think these are a lost cause? seriously though, they werent smelling that bad until he pooped in that one last week and man can i smell it when i use that cover it is aweful!
