Diaper Swappers

Did anyone's LO have bad reactions/delays? Did you wish that you had just skipped vaccines altogether or are you glad that you got them at age 2? DS is 18 months and has his checkup tomorrow, and I'm really trying to figure out what I'm going to do once he turns 2. I know for sure that I will only get some, but I'm getting very worried about what I'll do once kindergarten or preschool comes around. We're planning to be in Colorado at the time, and I know they have a philosophical exemption. Is it just that easy though? Check philosophical on a form and they won't bother me about it? Thanks for any input...

I'm anxious to see the responses...we delayed DS until he was 2...but now I don't know what to do!

it looks like we'll be here for at least 4 years so i'm looking at kindergarten, maybe 1st grade here. so we'll have the philosophical exemption too. but i don't have any other advice!

we saw Boden right before we left. he didn't know quite what to say about it. he just assumed we'd be doing them when we got here and I didn't correct him.

I delay until 4yrs old. My reasons being I'm a SAHM so they're not in daycare at an early age, I bf until they self wean so the natural immunities there and probably my main reason is my oldest ds is PDD/NOS (autism spectrum disorder) and it was important to me to wait until speech and motor skills were fully developed as my dc tend to be late crawlers/walkers/talkers anyways so around 2 is too early IMO regarding my dc. ds#2 (turned 4 Oct 2) has gotten his Hib and Polio so far. I only do 1 shot at a time and wait a month between vaxes.

Oh and philisophical exemption is one of the best to have. We only have medical and religious here in MA and I just wrote that it is against our "sincere held religious beliefs" on a paper to ds's preschool and it was fine with them .They just really want something to protect themselves (the schools) They can't ask what your religion is or what it entails
