doublers and inserts question

we use PF and pull over covers or Gerber EZ covers and i was wondering about doublers and inserts:

How do i make my own? how many layers? what can they be made of?

and do i lay the doubler and/or insert inside the cover or do i still use a PF too?

please email me or respond

Re: doublers and inserts question

Hi, there.

I can answer some of your questions. I don't sew, but I know you can make them out of flannel, hemp, microfiber, cotton terrry and so on. I have some flannel ones and they are 6 layers thick. Then I also have some cotton babies and I can't remember what they are made of, but they are fleece-topped, so baby feels dry.

When you use a doubler you want to lay it between the baby and the diaper. Then cover as usual. HTH's.
