Longies under fleece footed pjs?

I just ordered 2 Babyology wool longies on clearance on ebay. I've never used wool before, but decided to use it to keep my 9 month old warmer at night for the winter. Does anyone like these? Can you put these under those footed fleece pj's? I guess I'm confused as to how to use these just as pjs. What would you use on top? Should I put one of those sleep sacs over them? His room is not heated, and the space heater was costing us like $100 a month to run I think I'm just going to keep his door open at night, but I know it's going to get pretty cold in there...should the longies keep him nice and toasty? He kicks any blankets off.

I do it different ways depending on the weather

I do longies with a long sleeve top thats it
I do longies with a long sleeve top with a sleep sack
I do fleece footed pjs with a wool pull up cover underneath
I do fleece footed pjs with a fitted underneath, doesnt leak if I use my hemp peewells with a doubler
