a loaf of stale french bread....

So I bought a nice warm just out of the oven loaf of french bread last week and set it on my counter intending to use it. It still sits there, hard as a rock. Do I throw it away (I hate to throw things away ) or is there something I can make with it?

I second all the other ideas. Also croutons?

Oooooo... I love bread pudding!!! I might have to soften it up to cut it, it is soooo hard! I'm off to find a recipe!

The only thing I can think of that hasn't already been suggested is bread crumbs. No need to throw it away!
