Question Car seat/Britax help?

Oh yes, yet another carseat question!
DS is 38 lbs. with just diaper (I think) and probably 40 lbs. or more fully clothed. We have a Marathon. Does their weight limit mean fully dressed or not?
Next question: which car set should I move to next? He just turned 2 in October, so he's not very old or even chunky. He's just heavy, LOL. A
Any thoughts welcome!

Re: Car seat/Britax help?

Your Marathon will be good until 65 lbs, right? I think it is about time to start using a seatbelt if you have been using latch, maybe a car seat tech can let us know for sure. If his carseat will last a few more years, I would wait to worry about it. By then I think there will be more options .

A Regent will last until he doesn't need one anymore. My oldest outgrew his Marathon by height when he was two, we got what is now called a Regent (ours is a Husky ) I think I'd fit in it...its tall and huge

Re: Car seat/Britax help?

Uh...maybe I said the wrong one. I think mine's the cheapest one, so whatever that is, LOL. Boulevard or Marathon I don't remember. I just thought I read it was good to 40 lbs.
I was thinking about a Regent.
Anyone know anything about heigh/weight stuff later down the line? DS is going to be enormously tall I'm sure and I wasn't sure how long he was supposed to be in one for - or how long the Regent would last. I know it's big, LOL, I just mean height/weight limit.

Roundabouts are good until 40lbs.

Re: Car seat/Britax help?

Regent Although they are pretty big... do you have to fit three car seats across one row?

No, the girls are in the very back seat and Dominic is in a bucket seat/captains chair thingy in the middle. We have a van. He might get moved later when the girls are in convertibles, but I'm not sure yet.
There are only two colors in Regents, aren't there? LOL I always loved Britax for all the fabric choices!
When I go to the store in a little while I'll have to check which one he has I'm not sure!

Yep, the Roundabout is only to 40 lbs, Marathon/Boulevard/Decathlon/Wizard/something else to 65 lbs, Regent/Husky/Super Elite to 80 lbs. Sunshine Kids Radian has a version that goes to 80 lbs and one to 65 lbs. You cna see info at http://www.car-seat.org. EMAIL me if I cna be of any help.

OK, it's a Roundabout. So I should do a Regent? He seems to get heavy fast, LOL. Isn't that like around the same price as the others anyway?
