Exclamation URGENT Q: Turkey & Stuffing

I remember this from when I was pregnant:

Quote:

Turkey and stuffing: Cook the turkey until it reaches an internal temperature of 180 degrees F (use a meat thermometer to check it). If you're preparing stuffing (also known as dressing), cook it outside the turkey in a separate baking dish to 165 degrees F. The inside of a stuffed turkey's cavity doesn't get hot enough to kill off harmful bacteria.

Does this apply also to nursing???

It is a good idea for everybody, but you will get sick if it is undercooked, not your dc (if you are just nursing, not feeding them stuffing directly).

We just cook our stuffing out of the turkey. We make it with stock so it still has the extra flavor.

Something else to remember, the herb Sage can decrease milk supply so avoid overeating stuffing made with Sage.
