How to keep dd from biting her crib?

How do I keep my dd from biting on her crib? I've been worried about her doing it and she never did until this week. We spent ALOT of money on her bed and it turns into a toddler bed and then a fullsize bed so I want the wood to continue to look good. What should I do?

You need these! (or if you don't like plastic I'm sure you could make something out of cloth?)

We have a sleigh convertable and it came with bite guards on the side rails. I think that you can buy them separate though. They are clear and I don't ever notice them.

How the heck does she get her teeth wrapped around them that way? LOL

My suggestion would be to stack 2-3 (depending on height) of the no-suffocation mesh bumpers around the crib, then, or make something similar.

Re: How to keep dd from biting her crib?

We had the same problem with Jaden along the top edge of the railings, but the plastic guards didn't fit on our crib... So I wrapped prefolds along the whole top of the railing and secured them with zip ties (being careful to cut off the long end and have the clip part facing outward where he couldn't bite it). Whenever those seemed to get dingy, I took them off, washed them and put them on again with new zip ties. It worked great and was soft, so he couldn't hurt himself.

my friend had the same problem with her son. she put all those recieving blankets from the baby shower to use and wrapped thm around the railing. problem solved! i think she tied them on with string or shoe laces or something.
