It is hard to find something that tastes exactly like cows milk. Most ppl I know who only drink cows milk love it when they come over and I have 8th continent Soy milk. It is the closest we have found for me. We dont do cows milk and I grew up onit and wanted something to go with cookies and such. The kids grew up on soy and rice milk so they are used to it. HTH

Re: spinoff no milk thread.

My girls drink goat's milk (and you can use it just like you can use's cow's milk....soy and some others don't have the fat content to make some items like puddings and such) I think it tastes okay, but I don't really drink plain milk (unless it's with cookies.....hmmmm)

When we were in the states they drank whatever soy milk was on sale. But it's really expensive here so we had to find something else. I don't know what we'll use when we get back to the states....depends on price.

we don't do cow's milk. the more i read about soy though the more convinced i am to stop using it.

almond milk seems like the best alternative. it doesn't taste the same as cow milk but my dd doesn't drink much other than breastmilk and a bit of water so i haven't crossed that bridge yet!

soy milk all the way... dd1 used to drink it, and we cold turkeyd it for soymilk and she had no problem transitioning.. that was a few years ago... i give her vanilla soymilk now and she drinks it right up!! ive heard good things about rice milk too, but never tried it.... go soy!!
