wool question

If I am going to buy some wool for someone to make me a soaker how do I know how much wool to buy? Also, what kind of wool is the best to get for soakers?
Thanks!

Re: wool question

I only make recycled soakers/longies/shorties, so I'm no real help. Maybe you'd ask that ? in the craft section?

Re: wool question

you'll want to get approx. 200ish yards...that's plenty for a soaker - most skeins of worsted weight wool are about that.

are you buying from an irl store or online? feel free to pm me for suggestions if you want

Re: wool question

Thanks. I found a post on the craft forum that listed some sites for buying wool. Is worsted weight different than sport weight?
