Ditto dirtdartwife. I give my 9 month old raw carrots to chew on, he loves them. Can't really eat them, just gnaws on them.

BUT, the allergy thing is terrible. Did they know? If not... I can't really see being upset with them unless they left her alone with a carrot unsupervised. But if they KNEW she was allergic/sensative then yes, I'd be furious.
