Re: favorite toddler books

One I haven't seen mentioned is Sheep in a Jeep. It's so fun to read and the rhythm & rhymes make our kidlets giggle.

Re: favorite toddler books

I must admit MY favorite books are what gets read most ;-) So that's Suess -- Sam I Am as #1 followed closely by Fox-n-Sox. Repetition and dragging your finger over the words when you read are the most important things with littleones, and with Suesses' various rhyming and bold words and repetition I can start dropping off words and just pointing to them and have the kiddo 'fill them in'. I also try to speed through Fox-n-Sox which keeps me entertained.

Bored of Boyton? Try her in Spanish. Perritos (Doggies) or Azul el sombrero, verde el sombrero (Blue Hat, Green Hat). It's easy enough that someone that has a basic grasp of the language from highschool can read it. Never too early to expose them to their next language :-)
