Re: Can 50/50 custody work?
I do feel that its possible to do a 50/50 BUT the parents need to live in close proximety to each other for easy transitions and the parents need to be mature enough to see that there home rules need to be consistant and respectful from home to home.
My parents were divorced when i was young- i lived primarily with mom and spent a weekend a month with dad and summers/holidays with dad. They lived about 2 hrs from eachother and i have to say that i always ( and still to this day) feel like an outcast when i visit my dad...i was just a visitor, they had there own family thing and i just sort of stepped in and out of it never really part of it. I have a step brother and three half/siblings on my dads side and i honestly don't even call them brothers/sisters because i hardly know them. |
