Re: I'm a Tide Convert.

Ohhh me to me to. I tried several fancy diaper detergents first and couldn't get ride of the amonia stink unless I used dawn every time or soaked overnight every time. Now I just run two long washes one with tide then one with bac out. I don't even have to wash my pail liner every time anymore. Oh and I have a top loader and use plain original tide powder about half way to the first line.

That's about what I do too.

I started out using Planet, but it never got my CD's clean and I dealt with ALOT of stink! I was stripping the dipes constantly. Once someone recommended Tide, I have never looked back - and haven't had to strip the dipes once!

i've been trying to get the nerve to make the switch but i've been to skeered. i think this thread has finally pushed me over the edge. so tide free is good too? i thought everyone was using the reg. stuff. i'd really like the free kind as i have only used f&c detergents since becoming a mama.

Re: I'm a Tide Convert.

Well I use the free because DH and DD1 both break out from the regular one and I don't have any problems. I love Tide!!

Tide is the best! I've gone through several different detergents and my diapes have never been cleaner or fresher!

I have a front loader. Is it really necessary to do so many rinses (someone said 5 rinses?) Egads, the water bill!

I just set mine to do an extra rinse at the end--

Re: I'm a Tide Convert.

I converted from Charlies to Seventh Generation to the Costco brand and finally to HE Tide (not the Free version) and it's working great. No stains and no buildup yet, but only for about 2 weeks so far. Keeping my fingers crossed!
