Yarn choice for wool longies?

Does anyone use wool blend yarn, like 75% wool and 25% something else or do you only use 100% wool. Also what size needles do you usually use to knit them? Thanks

I've used yarn 50% wool, 50% soy silk for longies - they are not quite as good as 100% wool, so I haven't used it since. The lowest percentage wool that I have used since is 94% wool, because it just seems to work better.

I usually use size 3 and 5 needles because I like it to be really solid.
