Question PayPal Fees & FFS??

Ok, so I posted a whole lot of FFS Diaper Covers last night and now the whole thread is gone....

I know that you can't charge extra money for packaging and all that when you post there...but I was going to put all of the covers into a Flat Rate Envelope and mail it ($4.55, right?) ...

So I listed the covers as $5ppd....to cover the shipping + PayPal fees...

Is that not allowed?

I see every other post stating that the buyer has to cover PayPal fees....

I do want to mail these covers out to somebody who needs them, but not at a cost to me, ykwim?

I never even received an PM or email stating when or why my post was deleted...(which is rude)...but I honestly didn't think I was doing anything wrong by adding the fees in there that I will have to pay regardless...

I want to relist them...but

What would you do? Just put $5ppd and leave it at that? I only itemized it so people would know I'm being honest, but it looks like it only got my post deleted......

Re: PayPal Fees & FFS??

Here's the quote about ffs premier pp accounts:

Quote:
A note about premier/business Paypal accounts with paypal and the fees associated with them:

If you have a premier account with paypal you will get charged fees no matter what kind of payment is sent to you. So, in these cases if you have one and are offering items up for FFS then you must state in your post that you are asking buyers to pay the fees as follows: $total cost for shipping + 2.9% + $0.30 = New total for paypal payment.

If you are a buyer please know that it isn't fair to ask a seller to eat the fees and pay for some of the shipping. What happens is: you send a $2.59 payment to the seller. Paypal takes out 2.9% then another $0.30 leaving the balance for the seller $2.21. It costs the seller $2.59 to ship the item(s) and she only got $2.21 so she has to pay for $0.38 of the shipping.

As you can see the extra fees will only be $0.50 or less so it's not that big of a deal since you are getting the item(s) for free.

Thank you all for reading this.

You can't say $5. You have to actually break it down and do the PP math...(4.05 flat rate, .42 PP fees) and then list the total. Or if you want to do $5 just put it in covers and say almost FFS

Re: PayPal Fees & FFS??

Here is the rules just so you know!

But you have to actually do the calculations to show what exactley it is the buyer is paying.

BTW if you have an issue with stuff like this and think it is rude, Just PM the mod for that section. I am sure tehy will be happy to help

It could have been an accident.

List it again and make sure to be clear and pm the FSOT Mod for that area to let them know about it. Direct them to this thread.

Sometimes accidents happen mama!
