Re: I stalk wool with a little help from my friends...(sunday)

Good morning ladies. I have actually started knitting shorties. I am almost done with the waistband. I will probably be back later to ask questions.

Beautiful work ladies. Everything is so drool worthy.

And I'm just about to cast off on my first fish. I hope it's ok if it has a few extra 'gills'.

Good morning all! I am still knitting along on my shorties for DS. I am going to be doing some yarn dying for customs this afternoon and then try to get more knitting done.

Re: I stalk wool with a little help from my friends...(sunday)

I've been so behind on everything and we're getting ready to leave again. I'm almost done w/ DD's 3IG pants and I love how they are working up. I just need a shirt to match now...

My DH's cousin is a father as of yesterday. It is a very confusing situation. Until yesterday we weren't sure if it was his or not They were just dating at the time and I guess he wasn't the only one she was "dating" He thought he was the only one and gave up his good job to move home and get her and the baby a house, wanted to marry her, etc. Then her aunt told him she was just using him to get money, yada yada. Poor guy has been through so much. I am going to whip up a hat for the baby now that I guess they are sure it is his baby? I'm also going to see if I can do some newborn pics for them Funny, b/c they just found out he is going to have a brother this year! His step-mom is 5 weeks pregnant. I always find that entertaining. I have a sister that is 15 months older than Clay

Here's my first fish:

They're fun to knit! And it's a pretty easy exercise in keeping tension even so that increases and decreases are easy to do.

Question for you: I will need to embellish the tush on the longies I'm getting from the yarn for woollies swap: http://www.danceswithchairs.blogspot.com/
I think the longies color is a perfect base for fish! If I were to knit and then felt a fish, about how much do they felt? Is 25% of size a good guess? Does it depend on the type of wool? And will I need wool thread to sew on the embellishment?
