Re: BSRB Chatter Weekend Edition

Ladies, I am really, really sad right now. The mama that I bought most of my diaper cuts from just renegged on me and sent me a refund instead of my fabric. This is the same mama that I got pink chicks from, the culmination of my fabric stalking. I am borderline devastated

I am DEFINITELY getting that Beco now no matter what because I do reckless things with my pp when I'm upset

I think that once they are legitimately married, they are both allowed to enjoy it. Sex is as much an expression of love for your spouse as it is a means to an end (procreation). I think dressing modestly and not permitting activities that will bring on lustful thoughts are ways to prevent kids from having premarital sex, not condemnations of the sex act itself.

But then again, I'm an atheist so maybe I don't know what I'm talking about

I have studied all religions, and in my understanding of the Duggars' beliefs, procreation is the only reason for "making love" and they are not supposed to outwardly enjoy it (although enjoyment may happen in their mind, they would not show it, even to their spouse). IDK if that makes sense, but in trying to be family-friendly, i am sort of at a loss for words

Do me a favor, if you end up not liking the retro rainbows...don't tell me at all, and don't put it in your siggy. I don't know if you recall how badly I wanted that print when Joyce stocked it awhile ago & Ashley thought she had stalked it, but ended up stalking a kindergarten stripes?
So, if you could just do me that one little favor..if you decide it can't live with you, that is.

I should be folding diapers, but I don't feel like it. There's something new.
Di,
I just started to clean with vinegar, and i thought i would dislike the smell of it, but it fades very quickly. I doubt your DH would even know it I use dish detergent for some cleaning too, and that usually leaves a fresh scent in the bath as well HTH

OH, and Yeah. I'll be sure to tell you to look the other way IF that happens

Re: BSRB Chatter Weekend Edition

Maya--I don't know a lot about the Duggars, so I can't really give my thoughts on that. I have a friend who believes it's only for procreation, but I can't say much more due to the family-friendly issue here.

Thanks for the info on the vinegar. I will give it a try.

I feel so dumb. I had no idea until today that Clorox Green Works was far from green. Although, I only was using it to clean the toilet.

I do use Miraclean to clean everything else and I love it. However, I am going to try the vinegar/baking soda for the shower to see how that works. DH actually brought some baking soda home from the store today...for what reason, I don't know. I'm going to use it to clean, which he would not expect.

Oh, and just a general question...how are your DHs with incorporating green living into your household?
For me, I don't tell him anything I'm doing is 'for the environment.' I just say 'look, we have barely used any paper towels in a month! We are saving so much money' He loves the CDs because we don't need to buy them. (He doesn't know how much the stash cost, though. )
I have the hardest time with him and paper products. He LOVES using paper bowls, plastic cups, and plastic ware. His reasoning is because the dishwasher isn't full as quickly. I try to stop buying them, but he keeps bringing them back in the house.
With him, he LOVES hearing things are saving us money. However, with our latest water bill being $135, I can't start in on him with using the paper products. I have no point without talking about the environment, which he doesn't want to hear about.
