Help needed to identify a type of blanket!

Hi all

I'm a soon to be mum or mom as you guys would say, from the UK, living in New York. I am currently in spending mode and want to get some blankets for the baby. My dilemma is that I am trying to find a certain type of blanket but have no idea if it is sold here, and perhaps under a different name??

Here is a link to the type I want to get and I was wondering if anyone was able to identify it for me and tell me if they have another name, or where to get them?

Any help at all would be most appreciated XXX

Laura

Never seen them here, but that doesn't say you cannot get them. In general there are a lot of baby things different to the ones in europe.

I had one of those as a baby gift many years ago I think it was purchased at Land's End I really like those. They are a perfect blanket weight.

Re: Help needed to identify a type of blanket!

I'm pretty sure it's a waffle weave knit blanket. We have a queen sized one on our bed.

Here's an organic one http://www.sleepytimestore.com/produ...ac=100&zmap=54
These ones you can get embroidered http://mailordershoppe.com/h_afghans...ve_Blanket.htm

Hope that helps you some with your search!

Thanks for the help guys. I think I may end up getting it shipped over here, although the pink Scottish one was pretty close. XX

the blanket is a cotton weaved blanket they were popular in the 80's but are difficult to find now. i know for sure you can get them off of ebay if you want to buy a used one otherwise i'd look at tag sales or place it on your ISO list..you may get lucky
