Re: My PP is in danger Wooly Monday

Good morning ladies. Up a bit early here, too. So nice to have my DH home.
Heather, is Isabelle feeling better?

Claudia, I like that colorway. I have a ton of projects I want to do for other people right now, but am really wanting to cast on that sweater for my DD instead. In the meantime, I knit a bit of Morwenstow last night for a gauge swatch (have to finish after coffee) and am loving it. I'll post a pic later.

And I get to meet twin baby girls today.

The yarn on the sweater I have on the needles now is Birch Blossom.
Colors are very pretty, specially since Ella is very pale....I am just afraid that it may pool in the body.....

I do have to decide on yarn for the Cowgirl Vest: http://fpea.blogspot.com/2008/06/fre...butterfly.html

It says you need 500 -700 yards
I definately dont have enough of any hyena yarn....

Right! I am thinking I will go with cotton - not sure I can afford Hyena yarn for it
Wonder what Monica thinks. The ravelry group is doing it - maybe they think it can be done with less yarn.

Seems like alot of yardage of a size 2 vest - kwim

Hmmm your right. I bet its because its suggests light worsted. If you went up just a bit it would go faster and take less.. There would just be that pesky math to try and figure out.

I think its super cute but am put off a bit by the fact that its knit flat
I love knitting in the round.

Just a pain to do more purling when you're on the back side, I think is what she means.

I'm not going to be around much today--grocery day and lunch w/ a friend and her baby.

Snort... I read that as stop being a big baby Shaine.

Okay I can knit flat, i just don't like it. I think when I tackle a big project its gonna be the Tomten Jacket

Re: My PP is in danger Wooly Monday

I actually don't mind knitting flat, nor do I mind purling. Though it goes much faster when you're working all knit in the round!

I didn't like my seed stitch on the shorties, btw. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. At first when I didn't adjust my tension, the sts looked all over the place w/ a lot of gaps. Then I worked on pulling up quite a bit after purling. But now my sts are kind of pulled to the side from pulling to hard, so that can't be right either. I'm fine w/ it for my first woollies, but I want to do better for the next ones and am not sure how.
