Re: When did your LO stop napping?

At 2.5 dd1 went through a 6month period of no naps. I gave up about 2months into it but she was such a bear come 4pm I went back to enforcing naptime. Well, not really nap time...just quiet time really. Right around 3 she started falling asleep almost everyday at quiet time. She'd take 4-6naps a week. About 3months before turning four we went back to no naps. She still has quiet time but now she might fall asleep 1 or 2 days out of the week. She has to have that down time though or she's a big mess come early evening.

Re: When did your LO stop napping?

my boy is 2.5 and hasnt napped all week. he goes to bed MUCH earlier without a nap, like 8:30 at night. With a nap it's closer to midnight.

he seems fine without the nap tho. He's a little fussier than normal around 7ish but nothing too bad.

I just can't seem to make him fall asleep in the afternoon...

Re: When did your LO stop napping?

20 months at home and at daycare he is required till age 5 to lay on his mat for 2 hours quietly until naptime is over. Most days he does fall asleep at daycare while laying on the mat. Home he screams and cries when I try to put him down for a nap so I just gave up.

Re: When did your LO stop napping?

I put 3 but it's actually 3.5. I started letting him have the option when it would take him forever to fall asleep at night. Some days he does choose to nap and if he does it's not usually more than an hour. He falls asleep much faster at night now.

Re: When did your LO stop napping?

DS was 3 1/2 when he stopped napping. The days he would nap, he wouldn't go to bed until 10 or so. When we stopped putting him down for a nap, we moved his bedtime to 7:30 and he still has that schedule a year later.

Re: When did your LO stop napping?

My 5 year old still naps almost every day. she MUST lay down at nap time. She doesnt have to sleep, but more times than not she does. She sleeps about 2 hours or longer. She has no trouble going to sleep at night either. My 2 year old sleeps for about 1.5-2 hours every day. My oldest is a better sleeper than my youngest. I doubt my 2 year old will ever nap as well as my oldest does. haha. I think it varies child to child.
