Diaper Swappers

I have come to believe that juice even watered down is causing DD to have a little diaper rash and a few spots around her mouth. I first that it was the dairy but was has had alot of diary and no juice for about a week and the other day I gave her 50%water with the rest juice and she has red bumps around her mouth and girlie parts.

She likes juice so if I made it my self do you think that it would still bother her?

I don't know. You could try it. I have a little one at church that can't have things that are acidic touch her skin. She seems to be fine if she drinks out of a straw, but she can't drink orange juice, for instance, from a cup.

yup, DD used to get rashy from ME drinking OJ...through my milk!

I have to give OJ very sparingly or all my kids get diarrhea. Same goes with actual oranges or any acidic fruit.

It's probably the citric acid. I had one ds and one nephew that did the same thing. Just don't give her juice. It's not needed at all. They outgrew it by the time they were a few years old or so.

My LOs and neices can't have apple juice b/c of this problem! And now I have figured out that anything red for DS does it too--I was just about to start a thread about it

I have never tried to make my own juice I just went to lemonaide, tea, and gatoraide.
