would cotton sleep gowns be a good gift for a baby who will be ECed?

Like these

would these be something an ECing mom would use? thanks! I need to get a gift for a coworker of DH and they use EC w/ all their babies. They have had a bunch of boys and are now having a girl and I thought maybe a pink gown like this would be useful b/c she can just pull it up.

Yes! We only had two and I wished we'd had more. Also wish we'd had some in the 3-6 month size, which is harder to find than the 0-3 month size. Would dress a newborn only in these if I had enough, I think!

Yes! Gowns are very handy for EC'ing. You can get T-shirt gowns that are great in that they fit older babies (6+ months) and even toddlers.

HTH!

I was wondering how these would work out for ecing, too. I hestiantly bought some 0-3 months ones but was unsure if I should get more. Guess I'll be going back for more.

I really want to get a bunch of the gowns for my girls. I didnt realize they were made for older babies until recently. I really like the ones from continuum though. I'm a big fan although I have yet to buy.
I think someone should make some wool or fleece ones. That would be awesome!

I just have to agree with everyone else! I liked mine and could use some in bigger sizes, too. (though since she outgrew them awhile ago I've gotten out of the habit of using them and don't miss them as much anymore.)

other things I've loved for ECing are my homemade flats with a belt, babylegs, baby T-shirts (not onsies), sleepsacks that unzip upside-down!! and of course the bblp.

I think that's so sweet of you to be looking for a baby gift that will be useful to her ECing! not many people would think of that, I don't think.

I am planning on ECing our first babe (due in a couple weeks) and we have a huge stash of these gowns- totally think they will be fabulous. I bought a bunch of tiny ones- and made a bunch of larger ones out of old t-shirts. They turned out sooo stinkin' cute.
I think a pink gown would be a great gift!

The gown looks super cute, but can anyone tell me why the description says not intended for sleepwear? That's all newborns do.

Yes, we have several and they work great. I also bought some fleece and cut them into strips that I wrap around DS bottom and legs to help with misses and to help keep legs warm.
