Why about yarn

I burn right through bulky yarn. I had a pair of large longies with 4 ruffles on the cuff and I ended up having to dye additional yarn. I think I ended up using close to 14 oz! That was really bulky yarn. Now, on the other hand, I just finished 2 shorties, medium and larges with longer legs (4 inches) with a more worsted weight and I was able to do it with ~6.5-7 oz of the colorway, plus trim.

yeah i've been wanting to buy for fall so i want more yarn to make into longies but i'm sad cuz all the cute yarn is only about 4oz. i have never asked for more to be dyed up so i'll do that and see what happens

I am with Micky. It is hard to know what ounces everyone is looking for. I don't ever mind dying up additional yarn. I don't know about all dyers but most I have talked to don't mind if you ask for additional yarn.
