Fitteds question.

Sorry to bug, but I'm new to this so I have questions every once in a while!
Do all fitteds require covers?
Do prefolds hold just as much pee as fitteds??

I am pretty sure that all fitteds do require a cover. If the waterproof cover is built in, it is then called an All In One.

In my experience, prefolds will absorb as much as a fitted, but it really depends on what the fitted or prefold are made of. The main difference between the two is how they are actually fastened on the baby's bum. Fitteds with snaps or aplix; prefolds with a snappi, pins, or snug cover. In addition, fitteds have elastic around the baby's thighs where prefolds do not.

I am sure more experienced mamas on here may have more insight, but that's my 2cents.

prefolds are less absorbant and more bulky IME, and ive been frosted was a cute poem that went around the board during december

My fitteds hold more urine than our prefolds. I use Ecobaby absorb-it-all fitteds. And yes you have to have a cover! When I first started cloth diapering I only used prefolds. I really, really liked pinning them and how they fit. Plus they are so cute. After my fourth child I decided I wanted to use something a bit easier-but it was overwhelming to read about all the different types of diapers. I didn't think I'd like fitteds, but I really do. That's all I use now.

Yeah, I didn't know where to post general question until now!
Well, I really like all the designs that fitteds have, and I don't want to cover 'em up with a cover!!! lol. Would a white cover (like bummis or prorap??) show the design a little bit more than colored covers?

What's your favorite cover to use?

I think I'm one of the few that HATES prefolds! Especially on a chunky monkey baby! We couldn't find a car seat big enough that would still buckle with Drew's big butt due to prefolds!

There are many fitted styles out there..all need a cover. they last longer than all in one diaper (AIO). most cotton diaper wil alst about 200-300 washing if you take of them. In the summer you will find pp letting their babies go coverless because it is so hot and running around in a fitted you jsut change when damp. I use wool and fitteds you can email me with any questions.. I have been cding babies for over 17 yrs.
