TTO in your diaper wash?

OK, I asked this as a follow up question in another thread, but nobody seemed to come back to it, so I thought I'd just start a separate thread.

If you use TTO as part of your washing process, WHEN and HOW MUCH? Especially the latter. I understand that TTO is very strong, so I would hate to overuse it.

Thanks!

Re: TTO in your diaper wash?

If I am using my tto and lavendar mix for scent I usually put 3-4 drops in the final rinse. If I am using straight tto for funk or cleaning I put about 8-10 drops in the wash cycle so it gets rinsed alot.

Re: TTO in your diaper wash?

I put it in the first rinse with some dawn. I have issues with the fact that it being an oil it could build up so I try and make sure it gets washed totally out. And I just drop in 4-10 drops. Ya know 4 for regular and up to 10 if you having stink issues.

Re: TTO in your diaper wash?

I used TTO once or twice a looooooooong time ago when DC#1 was first CDed, around six months of age. I think I used a drop or two in a load (front loader) and it caused rashes for us. So I put some in our wipes solution. Same problem. DC has super sensitive skin, which is part of the reason we switched to CDs, but I haven't tried it again since. We use TTO-/lavender-free products.

Ditto! Does any one know if it's safe to use on pul though? I do my pockets and fleece separate and was wondering if I could use it on them.

TTO is Tea Tree Oil I found some recently really cheap at Walmart..$4 per bottle!

I don't know if it is safe, but I wash all of mine together. I don't add it every wash, and not at all now that I dropped and broke the bottle
