Re: Where have all the young girls gone?

I think bikinis are cute on fat 6-9 month olds, but that's about it. I can't stand some of the styles being marketed for little girls (or teens for that matter.) My husband is always telling me that he thinks boys are easier to raise (even though he has no experience other than having 3 brothers and no sisters lol), but I am inclined to believe him when it comes to clothes and wanting to fit in. I think girls tend to follow the lead of their mothers, though, and I am a modest, classic jcrew or gap type girl, so hopefully my dd's will be, too.

Well, hopefully boys are taught to respect a girl regardless of what she wears, but I understand what you mean in terms of, what will the boy be thinking if he sees a girl dressed like that? It certainly won't help him to think of her in a pure-minded way.
