What kind of wool for wool capris?
I think I found someone who will knit me a pair of longies or capris for fairly cheap, but I need to know what kind of wool I need to buy and how much for a pair of medium sized capris/longies? Anyone??
Thanks so much!!! (I am becoming a wool addict!! )

I f you post this in craft chat you will get more answers!
I'd say Paton's merino cause it is soft, reasonably cheap, and readily available ($5 skein at Michael's) Depending on the size of your DD you would probably need about 1 1/2 sk per pair (~ 6oz). HTH!

Re: What kind of wool for wool capris?
I'd say Peace Fleece. It's so durable - not super soft but it performs well! Two yarns I won't bother knitting with anymore are patons merino and knitpicks ... too thin. I was sad to spend a lot of time knitting them only to have them not work for my heavy wetting dd.
