Re: name this rash
Try some shea butter or Aquaphilic. You can also try some oatmeal in a bath and olive oil. Looks like it might be some ezcema. Can't tell for sure from the pic... but my DD and I both have ezcema bad and we get what look like pimples and has white stuff. Did you change laundry detergents or soap or anything? We use castile soap and Purex free and clear laundry detergent to help control the ezcema. Good luck. BTW say away from cortizone cream... if it is ezcema... it will not help and may make it worse (contrary to some DR beliefs, lol) Feel free to PM me.

Re: name this rash
I love the name of your post.
I don't know much about rashes but that is what my hives look like when they get started. Though hives don't normally start at the hip area. This may be a dumb question but could his underwear be too tight? If it is too tight, it might be irritating the skin and also when he sweats or pees it could soak into the waistband and be a tight, wet rash creater. Looks like it is right on the waistband. My dh had gained some weight and started breaking out on his underwear line and then when he lost weight/bought a bigger size, it went away. |

Re: name this rash
now it could be the ezcema. he has asthma and i've been told the 2 kinda go together, but hes had asthma for 2 years and this is the 1st time this rash has ever shown up.
his undies are not too tight, more like way too loose. hes such a skinny boy that the smallest undies at size 2-3 are too loose. its a nightmare trying to find stuff to fit him. |
