Swaddlebees AIO

I bought two new Swaddlebees AIO's from another Mama here on DS. I love the fit, but am having issues with leaking (DD is not a super heavy wetter and this has never happened with other dipes). After about 45 minutes of wear, wetness seeps through the outer layer and onto her clothes. I didn't think AIOs needed a cover? Am I doing something wrong?

yeah, if the SB are new, you have to "prep" them with a few washes first to get them nice and absorbant! maybe about 3-4 even up to 6 washes sometimes and they dont leak after that. I have a dozen SB AIO and i had to do the same thing, they leaked at first when I tried to cheat and just wash them once, the prepping really does make a difference. i think you can even read about it on the SB website. Try drying them in the dryer (if you don't already)...I've actually heard that the heat helps seal them. Also remember these only have one Mf insert sewn in them basically, so they may need stuffed with one other thing...even if your dc is not a heavy wetter, one mf insert can get soaked with one pee...HTH I have SB AIO and I love them...I hope they work out for you!!
