*ADDED PICS* I am in tears... Is there anything I can do to save my ADG longies???

Okay. It's official. I am an IDIOT.

A while back i got some *really* cheap Luxe soakers from FSOT. One of them was pretty dingy and a little stained. I tried scrubbing it... and no good. Eventually I stumbled across a thread about using oxy-clean on interlock. I got brave one day and tried it. It totally worked. My cover was sparkling clean and pretty

So I've done it a couple times since (only on my luxe interlock) and it's come out fine every time.

Well, The other day I was taking pictures of my one and only pair of ADG longies for a possible Trade. I noticed that there were some dingy areas (not horribly stained, just dingy.) I knew I could still sell them or trade them, but I thought I'd just go ahead anyway and make em extra pretty for their next owner.

I put a little oxyclean and baby soap in my "wool-soaking" container. I put the pants in there and went to check on them after about 30 minutes.

OMG There are little bleached-out spots all over them. I'm guessing that the oxyclean wasn't dissolved enough

Now what???

Is there any saving them? Can I try to bleach the whole pair and re-dye them? Can I just dye over it all with a darker color (like black)? Can I tye-dye it or something?

PLEASE help! Not only can I not sell or trade these, but I definitely won't use them now. (I was only getting rid of them because the color wasn't my fave-- not because I didn't LOVE them!) I'm sooooo sad

Here are some of the bleached spots. The overall coloring is now lighter, as well.

Bummer! You best bet is probably to sell them as is for a lower value considering their condition. A crafty mama can fix them to her liking.

I considered selling them as-is... But it would have to be a really low price and I'd prefer to just take my chances at salvaging them for myself. Like I said: I love the longies... but wasn't fond of the color. If I could possible change the color, then my problem would be solved.

I have a pack of flamingo pink Dylon around here somewhere. I wonder if it would work to tie-dye them...

I'd sell them as is, or re-dye them.
