Re: they stink again already ughh

Don't use All free and clear. It causes buildup. I use it on my clothes, but not the dipes. Try putting tea tree oil in with your detergent, and use a hot presoak, then a long hot/cold wash. Sunning is good too. I have to do the wash thing about once a month with my inserts.

After the cold rinse. You could put the tea tree oil in the cold rinse too.

Wow! you're gotten alot of advice!!!

I have to say I had the exact same problems and did EVERYTHING suggested and the stink pervailed... until I realized I just needed to use more detergent !!! I have to use about 1/2 a capful to get them clean smelling everytime and occasional calgon. We have city water that recently was changed from ok to super hard

Re: they stink again already ughh

Well..I find that adding about a tbs of simple green to my detergent makes them come out smelling clean.

I have read that Tide is a BAD detergent to use.

Here is a link to a chart on different detergents
http://www.pinstripesandpolkadots.co...entchoices.htm

Tide is in the second WORST category. It has added fragrances and enzymes.
Hope this helps!
