Folding vs. trifolding PF's?
The other thread got me wondering about this. So far I've only trifolded our PFs and layed them in a wrap. This way there are 3 layers of it, but if you fold it and pin or snappi it don't they soak it super fast? When I change DD after having one on trifolded it's already wet all the way through

Re: Folding vs. trifolding PF's?
I love trifolding. I think you do need a doubler when not trifolding but that might just be me. I'd be interested to here what others have to say.

Re: Folding vs. trifolding PF's?
I don't trifold often. I generally pin or snappi.
I find the prefold wicks or pulls the liquid throughout the prefold regardless of how it's pinned or snappi'd - even coverless, but more so with a cover.

Re: Folding vs. trifolding PF's?
I love trifolding...but did pin for quite awhile till dc got very very wiggly. I actually use a flat that is folded to resemble a trifolded prefold. I then take a really skinny doubler....I got some from a mom to fit my Daisy Doodles that were hemp that she had just cut down the middle and left loose. They seem to work great! I just fold all the flats with the doubler inside and lay them in my CD drawer. Works great for my super soaker too.
Hope that helps! Andrea |

Re: Folding vs. trifolding PF's?
I use the prefold - put it in thirds and then another one folded the same way doubled in it. So far it hasn't been too bad if I change her every two hours and get it pinned on right.

Re: Folding vs. trifolding PF's?
I like to use different folds and lay in. Just depends on my mood. Both work just as well for us. I have a boy so I just fold the extra diaper down in front and pin..... http://diaperpages.com/pf_folds.php

Re: Folding vs. trifolding PF's?
I just tri-fold- it's just so easy- I could never get the hang of the whole folding thing- and DH doing that? Forget it!! PLUS, tri-folding, I think we won't need any other size... maybe one, but no more than that, she could be in infant size for the whole time!
