Satisfaction with the Britax Regent?
I am looking into purchasing two Britax Regents for my two DS. I am wary of the price, but I know the safety of the seat is most important. If you have a Britax Regent, are you satisfied with it? What are any drawbacks you've had with it? TIA!

Re: Satisfaction with the Britax Regent?
LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!!! It is REALLY big, but fits just fine in our 2nd row captains chair. I like the fact that it's even easier for dd to get into the seat by herself since it sits a bit lower than our marathon did!!
BUY THEM!!

Re: Satisfaction with the Britax Regent?
I love my Regent....except for one thing....the crotch strap is too close to baby. I am always afraid I am going to pinch him when I click the harnass together. I wish they would move it out some.
Other than that, it's a wonderful seat!

Re: Satisfaction with the Britax Regent?
I really like our regent. We bought it for our current 7yr old when he was 5 as he just would not sit still enough to be safe in a booster. He still has room to grow in it. It's the comfiest seat in the van. The only downside to it is the size. We have a 12 passenger van so we have plenty of room for it but even so, when we keep it on one of the 3 person bench seats, we're not able to get 2 other carseats on the row. Only one and that is a tight squeeze. It's not a major issue for us as we have seats for 10 kids and only 6 kids right now but the size is a consideration. And for us, with lots of little ones behind him, we knew we would get the full 6 years use out of it so the cost was easy to swallow. And when we purchased it, our car insurance company paid $50 towards the purchase of any carseat, one per child per year. They no longer have that program but I'd check to see if your insurance has something similar.

Re: Satisfaction with the Britax Regent?
Thanks so much for your input! I have a 2002 Honda CR-V. Do you think I should have my husband check to make sure it will fit into my car? We only have two children now and when we have our third, we are planning on upsizing to a larger SUV or a minivan.

Re: Satisfaction with the Britax Regent?
There are actually two slots for the crotch strap. I think it comes standard in the position closest to the child, but I'd check. I think you should be able to move it out to the other location. Check your manual too!
