Egg Beaters

Does anyone use these? How do they compare to regular eggs. Separating eggs is so time consuming I really want something easier.

Re: Egg Beaters

I use the store brand of Eggbeaters when I'm doing a lot of baking. My kids are bowl and spoon lickers so I feel safer allowing them to do that when there's no raw egg. They make pretty good omelets too, but we prefer whole real eggs for making fried/poached eggs.

They're actually a lot easier to use because you can just measure out he amount you want instead of cracking egg after egg. As far as eating them plain, I like to use 2 eggs worth of beaters with 1 real egg and sprinkle in some seasonings and a tiny bit of cheese. It's really good.

Re: Egg Beaters

Good to know. I can't eat egg yolk because we discovered it makes me sick so I am glad to hear that it doesn't taste completely weird.

Re: Egg Beaters

I have always used egg beaters because I hate egg yolk. I normally don't eat them on their own, but I have scrambled them up with cheese a few times. I think they're yummy.
