This is way OT but same here! I lost my card & had to order a new one- here it is 2 months later & still no card- when I contacted pp they said they can't do anything about it! GRRRR

I'm still waiting for the "new" card since the "first" card never made it here. I feel your pain. Maybe it's better I don't have one. That means I'll be less likely to spend it haha.

Macs are not immune to viruses by any means. Or keyloggers, and those are both on the rise for macs. Why? Quite simply because Mac sales are on the rise. No one wrote viruses/spyware/keyloggers for Macs because it was such a tiny market share it wasn't worth it. The more macs there are out there, guaranteed the more things will be out there to attack them. The only protection that Mac had was it's tiny market share, it's not any more secure than a windows box - far from it.

Your wireless router is password protected - that's a start, it means they'd have to break through the password to change your admin settings. But if you're not using some kind of encryption or filtering access via MAC address, you're allowing anyone who has a wireless device access to your network. Most times, the worst that will happen is someone will leech your bandwidth, which may slow your internet access, but isn't otherwise harmful. However, any wireless communication is open to interception, and if you're not encrypting it, it's wide open to anyone who has a packet sniffer going. If it's not encrypted, set up the encryption ASAP.

We had something like this happen a 6 years back. Someone used our PP to buy stuff off ebay in the tune of $600+ dollars. It was taken out of my bank account. It took a couple months to finally get PP to give us our money back

same thing happened to me a couple years back, well not same thing but someone ripped me off via paypal to the tune of about 2k....never got my $$ back. I refuse to use paypal now. I just have to laugh when someone I want to trade with declines because paypal is safer than mailed cash...sorry not to me lol. Hope it all works out mama!

I am SS mama! There was a major paypal phishing scam going on recently. I received an email from "paypal" all of the logos and everything looked exactly like Paypal's website and they were saying that something was wrong with my account and that I needed to log in immediately through the email to correct the issue. Something seemed fishy to me so instead of logging in through the email I went to the website and logged in and there was nothing weird going on. I heard later that day about the scam and was SOOO glad I didn't enter my stuff there. I seriously wonder how they got a hold of your PW though...
