What do you your kiddos like to eat?

Aside from any obvious junk, that is. LOL! I was just thinking today that I needed some new ideas on easy stuff that they'll eat. Here's normal snacks/small meals for us, share yours!
  • Morningstar Farms anything - veggie burgers, "chicken" patties, "chicken" nuggets, corndogs, sausages, sausage patties, etc.
  • Smoothies - yogurt, milk, banans, frozen berries, protein powder, wheat germ.
  • Vanilla yogurt with Grapenuts cereal stirred in.
  • Cottage Cheese with "Salad Supreme" sprinkled on top, scooped out of the bowl with wheat crackers.
  • Lunch meat, cheese, boiled eggs, and crackers. (Homemade Lunchable!)
  • Oatmeal (not quick-cook) with milk and brown sugar.
  • Cherry tomatoes & olives!
  • Muffins (Those little Jiffy mixes. My DD makes them herself.)
  • Pasta with parmesan cheese.
  • Apples & peanutbutter.

Re: What do you your kiddos like to eat?

It's almost summer, so we're eating more fruits and cold veggies. So far, these have been hits:

-mango chicken piccata
-fruit salad with a lime glaze (it's a little added sugar, but it's a lot more fruit eaten!)
-couscous salad (boxed couscous done in broth, kalamata olives, feta cheese, red onion, optional chickpeas all tossed together)
-citrus green salad (dark greens, almonds, dates, carrots with a mango/orange dressing)
-any type of melon in a ball
-fruit kabobs
-sweet n' sour chicken w/rice (there's a really easy recipe on the back of the Minute rice box. We do up more veggies and less chicken)
-_____ in a biscuit. Take canned biscuits, flatten them out and put a tsp or so of filling on top. Bring up the sides and pinch to make a ball, then bake as normal. Taco fixings, meatballs, chicken, mixed veggies...all big hits here.

I forgot to add this link:

Ever heard of Monkey Platters? That's more or less how my kids eat most days. LOL!

Re: What do you your kiddos like to eat?

Here is DS1 with his almost-complete list of things he eats. I think all he's leaving off are carrots, the 7 fruits he'll eat (strawberry, banana, orange, apple, watermelon, canteloupe, pineapple), oatmeal, and yogurt. I cannot get this child to try ANYTHING new. And he won't touch anything mildy "messy."
