Re: Breastfeeding and pregnancy ????

ditto the others. I am nursing my 18 month old and am 16 weeks into my pg.

If your pg is healthy enough for you to have sex, then it's healthy enough for you to nurse. Nursing can bring on slight uterine contractions, but so can sex!

Re: Breastfeeding and pregnancy ????

DS was still nursing until about 3 weeks he was about 20 months old when he self weaned - at that time I was 5 1/2 months pregnant. No need to quit until your child is ready. In fact, many women tandem nurse their children.
Yes, I'm glad that DS is done b/c it was so random and my nipples were sore b/c of being pregnant and the fact that he wasn't nursing much at all.
My suggestion, continue to nurse your child as you see fit - if it gets too uncomfortable for you there are things you can do to speed along weaning, but if it is still something you wish to do - go right ahead.
