Re: Anyone start out "Chuncky" before getting preggo?

I started at 185 with my 1st and gained 22 lbs (207). Somehow I lost nearly 30 lbs 4 weeks pp. It's been a year and TRUST ME I found my way back to "normal" of 185 or so.

I got preg with my 2nd at 187 and at 14 weeks I've gained 4 lbs.

The biggest trick to not gaining back too much weight (from that crazy amount I lost PP) was to watch portion sizes and I was sure to go back to my previous eating habits of low fat dresings, only half a bagel at a time, etc.

I only hope it works as well this time!

Re: Anyone start out "Chuncky" before getting preggo?

Yeah I have noticed alot of fluctuation with all the pregnancys. I remember being almost 200 when giving birth to one of the kids, and thought oh my that is alot, while now i am 251 and not even pregnant. some days i'd like to loose some and other days i figure i really want to enjoy what i eat.

Re: Anyone start out "Chuncky" before getting preggo?

I was definitely chunky at the start of my second pregnancy. I am 5'5" and weighed 180. I was VERY concerned. My doctor told me not to worry, eat well and exercise. She said it would be okay if I did not gain any weight as long as I was eating well and the baby was growing. I rode the excercise bike for one hour every day for the first 6 months and ate a ton. Well, I did gain but not untill the end and only 19 lbs. I did not want to hit 200 lbs

Well, now I am at 190 (although I was 180 again very soon after the birth). I am so hungry while nursing so losing weight has been a bit difficult for me. I need to exercise more. Now that the baby is more mobile, it is getting easier to be active.

ME too!
I started this pregnancy at 195 (my highest ever)

With Kylie I started at 181, went down to 173, (nausea) then up to 199. I (thankfully) lost 21lbs in 8 days after she was born.

I'm starting this pregnancy at 195. I"m 5'8" and a little thick...LOL

I really needed to lose 30 pounds before I get PG, but it didn't work that way.

Re: Anyone start out "Chuncky" before getting preggo?

I am fluffy I am about 5'7 and about 190 I was lighter when I had my last dc... I started at about 172... slowly gained until I was about 213? but after deliver 3 days later I was back to 172. I am breastfeeding and people claim it helps you lose weight but he is 19 months old and the scales keep slowly creeping up!
I do better when pregnant though because my eating is SO much better... I am eating for a lil one ya know? so everything that goes past my lips gets criticised first... man if I could just do that now
