Kids Summer Vacay Crafting!

I decided yesterday that I want to do one "big" craft each week of summer vacation with my girls starting next week.

My list so far:

1. Children's aprons

2. Tote bags

3. Flower pots

4. Pillowcases

5. Memory Boxes

I need some more ideas. Dh came up with fleece no-sew blankets, and wall art (like those memory boards that are covered in fabric and have the ribbons stretched across to hold pics and things up).

Anyone else want to do summer crafting with their kids? What ideas do you have?

Make your own playdoh, candles made with beach sand and seashells, log cabins from popsicles sticks (and assorted park treasures). Today we did a faux camping trip with pretend fishing, campfire stories and smores.

That sounds like a fun summer!

How do you do these crafts with a 15 month old? I think mine would be upset while I was preparing for them/cleaning up after.... and probably would not have that much fun actually doing them since she would want to eat everything ...

For a 15 month old, pudding finger painting might be your only option since she'll want to eat it anyways.

I get that you're a dude and the last thing you want to do is leave a place you're going to spend the rest of your life trying to get back into, but enough. Your room is really cool, come out and see it. Sincerely, Love Mummy

The baby doesn't really participate lol unless she's sitting on my lap. I plan to have plain white tees in her size for the apron day so she can "paint" them with me. And the tote bag she can do too, she just needs me to help her (basically hold the paint for her with her little hand gripping on too, kind of like when you teach your kiddo how to color ) She can do pretty much all of the crafts, just with lots of help

ETA: we do something "crafty" everyday. We paint, play with playdoh, make "books" where they color the pics and either Brie or I write the stories down. Make bead and pasta necklaces, crowns and wands.
