I'm all for change too.. so long as its thought out first.

My main caveat with this is the FSOT, Due Date, WAHM forums and a couple others where updates are really necessary to so people don't have to hunt through the thread to get new info. kwim?

So if they keep those editable (if that's a word) then I think it is a fairly good idea. It will keep people accountable for what they say and make them think twice before posting.

So if we want to go back later and delete pictures of our children we can't?? I occasionally post pictures of my children in Extra Fluffy, but a week or so later after the thread is dead, I go back to delete the pictures. Now I can't? I don't think this is a great idea.

Wow a vote would have been a great idea. But I've never seen anything voted on here at DS. It seems to be all up to the ladies who run the site. I must say I don't like the change at all.... don't see the point... and am feeling like I'm being treated like a child. I am a grown woman after all and feel that I should be able to change my post at any time, should I so choose. But hey that's just my on the matter.

Re: Editing too often?

I agree with the pictures thing.. and it seems like there will be an influx of posts just to update. I think the first post of any thread should be able to be edited at any time for updates / changes / etc. & Too, I like that I didn't have to double post if I left something out.. it just makes things more cluttered and confusing. Don't like this AT all.

Yes, but then the next time I load pictures to photobucket, if they happen to have the same number as a previous picture that I deleted, and left the link live here, it would show the new picture that I just loaded.

I've had that happen, posted pictures of diapers in fsot, deleted from PB, later loaded a picture of my kids that had the same picture number, and the random picture of my kids was in my old fsot post.

Re: Editing too often?

What about someone who might not know all the rules, like in T&F? And they out someone & then it cannot be edited & then the name is seen by lots of people? I know Mod's are not always able to check every post at all moments of the day - but usually if someone says "hey, no outing rule, you should edit that out" they always do..

I dunno.. I mean obviously its not my choice, I just post here..
