But what about Wahm Announcenments? I know we're limited to 1 listing or w/e on there... how do we go about updating w/ new announcements or having our thread deleted?

Re: Editing too often?

I also agree w/PP who stated about posting pics of her kids for the forum then going back and deleting her pic. I do this too as I like to participate in certain threads and share some pics but don't want them out here for eternity, KWIM? It is too confusing to keep my Photobucket in order and to remember what pic I uploaded on this site or maybe another site that I know I can go back and delete/edit. Some pics I may have uploaded here that I want off the thread but I don't know which pic in PB to delete. So yes, that is a major issue for the mods here to think about before implementing this change.

Oh, I'd like to add too...sometimes after posting, I'll reread what I've typed and notice spelling or other errors that I like to fix/edit. I find it very frustrating that we will not be able to go into our original posting and edit.

I HATE this change. I usually don't have time to proof read. I'll come back a little while later and see a stupid typo & change it. I just went to do this exact thing and noticed that I can't.

As one who is VERY bad at both typing and spelling, I will really miss the editing. Sometimes it take me longer than 5 minutes to find my errors.
Please bring back the editing.

Re: Editing too often?

I agree that not being able to edit is a horrible HORRIBLE change.

I am active on the healthy living and weight loss forum.

we have an ongoing thread that each week we post on. we all edit and change our first post every day to keep the thread uncluttered. now we have to copy and paste from the day before rather than just editing our original post.

why was the editing option removed to begin with? If we understood this then maybe we can accept the change.

Re: Editing too often?

I like the editing button.
I'm usually a great speller but sometimes don't catch something and would hate to leave it misspelled

quoting won't have the edits will it? so that can be used more often by people who want to make sure they are responding appropriately, sans edits

Re: Editing too often?

Can we just go back to the way it was? Seems people were happy with that, why change it?

I also agree.. sometimes i write something then reread it later and realise it could have been offensive, because when you type it doesn't always come across the same way as when you're talking to somebody face to face. I can't see what the point of this change could be? It just seems to add frustration and annoyance.

Re: Editing too often?

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let us edit in the healthy living and weight loss forum- it's going to really complicate our lives if we can't- we edit our workouts weekly. This is really important to many of us who are helping motivate each other to be healthier!

Re: Editing too often?

yep, dont see the reasoning behind this. just seems like tere will be more clutterd posts, since we would have to quote ourself, then edit that.
i too use the healthy living thread to log exercise, this will make it hard to actually log our activities.
please let us know why, or change it back...
