I don't think you guys understand....Your anti-virus/malware programs are deleting the same infection over and over..it's not reinfections, the virus reinstalls itself wether you have been on DS or Not...you THINK it is deleted but I PROMISE you it is not! This virus installs itself deep within the registry...no free antivirus/malware program is good enough to delve that deep.

My anti-virus/spyware program has been kicking DS into red warning pages lately. It says the page isn't safe and that there is spyware or viruses on it. I did a full scan a couple days ago and my computer is ok, but I think that is because of the preventative measures that Norton has.

this is a work laptop i use (i work at a university). i know they've got some good antivirus stuff on here, but it's not good enough.

i'm able to use internet explorer for a fe wminutes at a time, then things go bezerk and i have to restart my computer.

it's really wacked. i'm off this coming week which means i can't get this fixed until the week after next and i am seriously bummed! it's a pain to reload all of my software after they wipe my disk clean.

is anything being done about this? can someone explain why it happens to begin with? like why in general can't sites prevent this? (or can they?)

I don't know why this is happening mama's, maybe its another ad that is a bad one, I did send this thread to the techs for them to look into, I don't think they come online on the weekends though, I am normally not online on the weekends myself.

wanted to let you know that when i get a warning and get kicked out my antivirus says malware in banner. hope that helps

Is anyone here who ever gets infected using firefox? Or just IE? Cause I've never had any problems, that I know of, but I can say it scares me...

Wow, this thread makes me very glad I have a Mac. And firefox and norton antivirus programs. I am sorry you all have to deal with this!

I got the system security one last night after rebooting the computer back to the original state. Sucks and the computer won't let me do anything. I have to drive up to school to use the computer. I have tried a few programs on a flash drive to get rid of it with no luck so far. I am so reluctant to leave diaperswappers but can't keep doing this.

I have firefox..and norton...and malwarebytes abd it does not help!
