Does anyone else's baby's back crack all the time?
I just think its weird. DD is 15 months old and almost every time I pick her up her back cracks a bunch (sounds like crackles). It really freaks me out. I think its always been this way but I've never managed to remember to mention it at her ped visits. So does anyone else's kid do this?? It never happened with my ODD. Should I be worried?

Re: Does anyone else's baby's back crack all the time?
It has happened w/ all 3 of my kids and I have a 15 mth old right now and everytime I pick her up. Our ped and our chiropractor both say it's completely normal. She is ajusted by a chiropractor on a regular basis.

Re: Does anyone else's baby's back crack all the time?
DD's back does this too. Not often, but enough that I've definitely noticed. It is weird! But I crack mine too, so I guess it doesn't freak me out that much. IDK? It doesn't seem like their tiny little backs should be cracking already tho!
At least not just from being picked up. But then, infant chiropractics are supposed to be very beneficial, so maybe it's a good thing!

DS's does all the time. It's not loud enough for me to hear it, but I can feel it when I pick him up.

It is completely normal. Kids joints are very flexible and adjust very easily until their muscles mature and provide more stability.

my DS does it too, all his joints. I worried at first thinking I was doing something wrong that was hurting him or causing damage, but it's just how some LO's are.

Re: Does anyone else's baby's back crack all the time?
My DS' back cracked since he was super young, and now at 5, all his joints randomly crack, including his neck! He got that from me as I crack all over the place too
I didn't take him to a chiropractor until about 6 months ago, he had one quick adjustment and I had him checked a month or two ago and everything held. We just have loose joints I guess!

Re: Does anyone else's baby's back crack all the time?
Thanks for the reassurance! I crack a lot too, so I guess she gets it from me. It just feels werid because she's so small.

Re: Does anyone else's baby's back crack all the time?
I'm glad you asked this. My dd does this sometimes too. I wondered about it, but it would have never occurred to me to ask, but I feel better having read it.
