I think it has to do possibly with formula taking a bit longer to digest.. that is known. But more to do with the connection with breastfeeding that baby's have. Sounds like your LO isn't really hungry, just wants that closeness she's used to when you feed her. Not saying bottle fed babies don't get that.. but it's different I think in their feeding patterns.
From what I've noticed through the years on boards, friends, and personally.. babies who breastfeed do seem to wake a bit more.. but not usually from hunger. Seems to be more of a wanting to 'suckle' to sleep rather than get a gulp of milk. kwim?
