When AF hormones and lactating hormones collide- WOWSA!

Is this just me? Since AF has returned at 8mos. pp, (I am now 12) my PMS has been through the roof. Like this and and and some more. I am depressed and lethargic and grumpy with DH and the LOs. How to fix this?? HELP! I am so not myself, and I am not sure anyone I know IRL understands.
TIA,

I don't have any advice for you, but I definitely had much stronger hormonal emotions with my first PP AF a few weeks ago too. It was the same way when I got it after my DD. Not quite so much with the but SO bad with the My poor DH. The only thing that helped me feel a little better was exercise, but making myself do it was a whole different story.

How did you all know it was actually AF if you ended before 6 weeks pp?

I think my pp has ended but, it keeps coming back again??? The day before I was an absolute emotionally wrecked monster. Cried at my husband and told him to leave me alone. Then yelled at my son constantly for doing do this or that. Yesturday I was happy and calm? My sis heard me yelling and said yea maybe you are on your period...

I had one cycle at about 8 weeks pp, but that has been it. Lately though Ive been cranky, and very easy to snap at ppl. Which is totally NOT like me. The weather has been beyond cruddy here and I know that without my weekly walks I am not a happy camper to deal with. Id like to just live in a cave sometimes!! Nice to see I am not alone here!!!

Re: When AF hormones and lactating hormones collide- WOWSA!

The week before AF shows, I am a PSYCHO WOMAN!! Seriously, I'm the biggest *itch I've ever met when I'm pmsing. Starting to drive me mad! My mom actually told me last week that she was going to buy me midol and force it down my throat I snap at every little thing, and then I'll be happy, and suddenly I'm snappy again, then I'm crying cause I felt bad about it. I wasn't this bad when I was a teenager! 14 months PP here and it hasnt gotten even a little bit better!

I am so glad this isn't just me! I felt like the only crazy lactating hormonal woman in town. DS really seems to be self-weaning, though, so not sure how much longer I will be dealing with this. Thanks mamas!
