can you guide me on making & freezing french toast?

I have a loaf or two of bread I need to use so I thought I would make french bread and freeze it. What I would like to do is serve it as sticks. So do I cut them before freezing? Freeze, cut, then keep frozen until use? Freeze, thaw/heat, then cut? I know some of you have done this. Please guide me.

I haven't done it but am considering it too. I would cut them and then lay them on a baking sheet or something in the freezer. Once they are frozen, I would then put them in freezer bags.

Exactly how I would do it! just make sure to cool them in a single layer and freeze them in a single layer so they don't get too soggy.
