Tips for FOE...

I just ordered my first PUL and wanted to order some FOE but I'm nervous of the whole process... it looks like it's going to be hard. Does anyone have any tips?? I feel very certain that I'm a good sewer and have figured out how to sew the ruffle looking elastic with TT.

It's been a while since I've been in here and I've sold a few diapers to friends... Maybe I will post pictures! I'm very excited about how far I've come.

Anyway... any tips for someone starting out on FOE?

Re: Tips for FOE...

I just did FOE for the first time last week! It was much easier than I thought it would be and can't believe it took me as long as it did to try it. Just make sure you stretch as evenly as you can when you do the legs and back. Put the PUL side down, too. That's all I can think of right now. You can do it!

Oh thank you!!!

Should I try uh... two ply (I don't know how else to word it)?? Like PUL and a layer of something else? or will PUL and FOE work with snap closure.
I'm using the fattycakes pattern, if it matters.

You can do either single ply or two-ply. Just make sure to reinforce your snaps with another layer of PUL if you do single ply.

Re: Tips for FOE...

I'll go ahead and just do the same PUL for doubling up on the sides and front where the snaps are. Thanks for the tip!!
